Ratio Christi at Golden West College would like to invite you to an open discussion as two leading thinkers sit down to tackle the question "Does God Exist?" This lively exchange will be held in the Forum II building of Golden West College on Friday, October 25 at 7:00 PM. Tickets are available for purchase by the public.
We expect overflowing crowds, so make sure you get your tickets early!
Tickets for both students and the general public are available here. The event is free for all local college students, staff, and faculty with a valid student ID. General admission for all others is $10 per ticket.
If you have pre-purchased tickets, please bring your ticket vouchers with you to the event. You will need to check in at the ticket table with your ticket voucher and trade it for an entry ticket.
All student ticket holders must show a student ID at the door the day of the event in order to be admitted.

The facility has less than 300 seats available for this event. Those who obtained tickets will receive priority seating.

Lenny Esposito - Affirmative Position
Author and speaker Lenny Esposito has been spreading convincing Christianity across the globe by stirring the hearts and minds of the lost and the church for twenty years. A pioneer in online apologetics with his popular www.ComeReason.org web site and podcast, Lenny has also contributed to books such as the award-winning Apologetics Study Bible for Students (B&H, 2010), A New Kind of Apologist (Harvest House, 2016), and True Reason: Confronting the Irrationality of the New Atheism (Kregel, 2014). His articles have appeared in the Los Angeles Times and the Southern California Christian Times.
Jason Thibodeau, PhD - Negative Position
Jason Thibodeau is a philosophy professor at Cypress College where he has taught since 2015. Before coming to Cypress, Jason taught at Auburn University and at Georgia Perimeter College in Atlanta. He earned a PhD in philosophy from the University of California, San Diego in 2006. His primary philosophical interests are metaethics and the philosophy of religion. His publications include “God’s Love is Irrelevant to the Euthyphro Problem” (forthcoming in Sophia) and “Why Moral Realism Does Not Favor Theism” in Theism and Atheism: Opposing Viewpoints in Philosophy. Jason blogs about ethics and religion at the Secular Outpost.
Directions and Parking
Fwy 405 North, take the Beach Boulevard off-ramp, and use the exit designated Huntington Beach. From Beach Boulevard, proceed to the Edinger Avenue intersection and turn right (west). The campus will be on your right after you pass Gothard Street.
Fwy 405 South, exit at Golden West Street. Proceed south (right turn) on Golden West Street to the campus which will be on your left after you pass McFadden Avenue.
Fwy 22 East/West, exit Beach Blvd. south to either Center Ave. or Edinger Ave. right to college.
